How do I submit my URL to search engines across the Web?
Firstly, the viable streams of traffic that'll actually be worth your while will come from the Big Four. Keep in mind that Hitwise intelligence has shown that Google received 67.9 % of all U.S. searches in the four weeks ending April 26, 2008 whereas Yahoo! Search, MSN Search, and Ask.com brought in only 20.28%, 6.26%, and 4.17% respectively.

You should manually submit your XML Sitemap to Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and Ask.

There's no need to pay for automated URL submission services to smaller search engines or lesser known directories with low volume and low- to mid-grade traffic. Spend your time and marketing resources wisely. It's time to submit your site to the big guns of search!
